Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care by performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist during procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric dentistry and a passion for promoting oral health.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for pediatric patients and those with special healthcare needs.
Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices.
Assist the dentist with various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow within the dental clinic.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices to provide the best care possible.

Skills

Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with dental terminology.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients as well as adults with special healthcare needs.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
Strong organizational skills to manage medical records efficiently while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
