Job Description
Gentner Family Dentistry is a premium, patient-focused dental practice specializing in TMD treatment, bite correction, complete dentistry, and advanced oral health solutions. Weâre located in a small town and pride ourselves on using cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional care.
Weâre currently seeking a Dental Assistant with 1â3 years of experience, but weâre happy to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist the doctor during procedures and exams
Prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage patient flow
Take x-rays and digital impressions (weâll train you!)
Provide comfort-focused care to patients
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to aseptic technique.
Take digital dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Document patient medical histories, vital signs, and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
Manage patient appointments and follow-up care, ensuring effective communication with patients regarding their treatment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
Utilize dental terminology effectively during patient interactions and documentation.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
1â3 years of dental assisting experience preferred
Willingness to train and learn advanced procedures
Excellent communication and team skills
Detail-oriented and patient-focused mindset
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in medical documentation and understanding of medical coding is advantageous.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient care and communication.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry.
Dental Assisting certification (or working toward it) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 â 40 per week
