Dental Assistant - Growing Smiles Children's Dentistry - Rossford, OH

```Duties```- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical coding and documentation of treatments- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
```Requirements```- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program- X-ray certification- Proficiency in taking and developing dental x-rays- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and patient privacy laws- Experience with electronic health record systems (Dentrix)- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
