We are seeking a highly skilled, eager to learn, outgoing, fun-loving, dedicated EFDA to join our amazing 5-star google reviewed dental team! The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing high quality oral healthcare to patients in our high-tech private practice. This is an incredible opportunity for someone passionate about dentistry and patient care in the private practice setting.
Responsibilities:
Chair-side Assistance: Assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing the treatment room, and ensuring patient comfort.
Take digital dental X-rays and 3-D CBCTs
Applying sealants and fluoride treatments .
Placing and finishing dental restorations (e.g., fillings)
Administrative and Office Tasks:
Reviewing dental records .
Sterilizing and preparing equipment .
Scheduling appointments .
Organizing and maintaining lab cases .
Providing follow-up care instructions to patients .
Patient Education: Explaining procedures and providing oral health instructions to patients.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment .
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills .
Attention to detail and accuracy .
Ability to work independently and as part of a team .
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology .
CPR certification .
Completion of approved coursework or on-the-job training for expanded functions .
Proficiency in X-Ray procedures
Experience in dental assisting
Knowledge of CEREC/Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is a plus
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
Ability to take vital signs accurately
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is advantageous
Knowledge of aseptic techniques for infection control
Competence in managing medical records
Understanding of dental anatomy
