OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental office.
Support various dental specialties, including General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, and Orthodontics.

Skills

Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Familiarity with dental assisting systems and procedures.
Experience in taking X-Rays safely and effectively.
Understanding of endodontics and prosthodontics is beneficial.
Ability to perform medical coding related to dental services.
Strong grasp of general dentistry practices and dental terminology.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
