OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic orthodontic team. The ideal candidate at Forever Smiles will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and will possess a strong understanding of orthodontic tooth movements and hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health, perform preventive care, and assist in the overall management of the orthodontic practice.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical records and documenting vital signs.
Perform orthodontic debonds and provide preventive care to patients of all ages.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures involving orthodontic assistant duties, ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with clinic protocols.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on the latest developments in dental hygiene practices and medical terminology.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience in an orthodontic clinic setting is required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation review processes.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and efficiently.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
