Registered Dental Hygienist- Flexible hours - Pearl Dental - New York, NY

Job Summary
Current opportunity is to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Also we have one Friday and one Saturday a month, if interested.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of patient dental health. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, ensuring adherence to best practices in oral hygiene.
Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures by providing support to the dentist during treatments.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize medical imaging systems to capture and analyze radiographs as needed.
Review patient documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy before procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and general dentistry principles during patient interactions.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management systems.
Proficient in medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practices.
Strong understanding of general dentistry concepts and anatomy knowledge.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.
