Clinical Dental Hygienist - Perle Dental - Sanford, NC

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various procedures while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This role requires proficiency in both general and pediatric dentistry, as well as familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Curve.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and dental cleanings, ensuring optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Assist the dentist during procedures (as needed), providing necessary support and ensuring patient comfort.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software systems (Dentrix, Curve) for scheduling, billing, and patient management.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, particularly in a general or pediatric dentistry setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Curve is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday – 8 am – 5 pm
No Fridays

Qualifications

Dental hygiene certification from accredited dental hygiene school.
Current hygiene license in North Carolina
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
