Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to assist in various dental procedures, maintain patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Perform tasks such as taking X-rays, recording vital signs, and managing medical documentation.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with dental terminology and protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure the sterilization of instruments and adherence to aseptic techniques.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Utilize dental software such as Epic for efficient record management.
Support the team in administrative tasks as needed, including medical coding.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and best practices.
Familiarity with medical documentation processes and medical records management.
Ability to take X-rays and record vital signs accurately.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a safe working environment.
Proficiency in using dental software applications; experience with Epic is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
