Dental Hygienist (Part-time) - Alan S Kuznick, DMD - Spring Valley, NY

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental clinic team. Our current Dental Hygienist is leaving after having her fourth child. She has been a loved team member for over 12 years. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care by performing dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall operations of our dental office. Ideally, we are seeking someone with at least one year of hygiene experience. We are a state of the art , fee for service, high quality dental practice. Hygiene visits are allotted one hour per patient and excellence in your profession is a must along with caring and sensitivity.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients.
Review patient documentation to ensure accurate medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
Assist the dentist during examinations and various procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress in accordance with clinic protocols.
Ensure that all dental instruments are sterilized and prepared for use.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Collaborate effectively with other team members to provide high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience working in a dental clinic or office environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of general dentistry principles and practices.
Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients effectively.
Ability to perform detailed documentation review accurately.
Prior experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
