Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic as needed, taking on some receptionist duties when required.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in general dentistry settings.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft, is an advantage.
Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures in a clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification or training in dental assisting is desirable but not mandatory.
