Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. We are a unique dental office and pride ourselves with a warm family feel. This position is for only one day a week currently but, always need hygienist to help out other days as well. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental hygiene practices, with a focus on patient care and education. This role involves working closely with dentists to provide high-quality dental services, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. We are super passionate about our patients, and are committed to helping them maintain excellent oral health. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking medical histories and vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and disease prevention.
Experience with medical coding is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and vital sign monitoring.
Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures within a dental setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
