Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist and other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing oral health issues.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Assist in the development of treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices relevant to general dentistry.
Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have regarding their treatment.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in medical coding and understanding of dental terminology.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, particularly in pediatrics.
Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
