OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic long-standing dental team Monday through Thursday.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterile and ready for use.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Manage patient records accurately, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques..
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dexis or Dentrix is an advantage.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience with 3D scanners is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
