Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Saint George, UT

We are currently seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Taking X-rays:
Capture high-quality dental X-rays using proper safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure patient comfort during imaging and communicate clearly regarding the process.
Cleaning Teeth (Prophy):
Perform routine prophylaxis (teeth cleanings) under the direction of the dentist.
Polish teeth, remove plaque and tartar, and provide education on oral hygiene.
Preparing the Exam Room:
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are sterilized and ready.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in each exam room.
Assisting the Doctor Chairside:
Assist the dentist during patient treatments, providing tools, suctioning, and maintaining a clear working environment.
Anticipate the needs of the dentist to improve patient care and efficiency.
Assisting in Surgery (General Anesthesia Cases):
Assist in surgeries, including those involving general anesthesia, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Be prepared to help with pre-operative and post-operative procedures as directed by the dentist.
Instrument Sterilization:
Ensure all dental instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored following strict infection control protocols.
Monitor sterilization equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument usage.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other dental assistants, hygienists, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective treatment delivery.
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and communicate effectively with team members.
Providing Excellent Customer Service:
Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Answer patient questions and provide clear explanations regarding procedures, appointments, and post-care instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
