Dental Assistant - Dentists of Bristow - Covington, VA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
Perform basic dental assisting tasks such as taking vital signs and updating medical records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure optimal clinic operations.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices is an asset.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
Knowledge of endodontics and other specialized dental procedures will be beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential for success in this role.
