Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We would love to have someone cross trained to help in back and up front if possible but not necessary.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for procedures.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure optimal patient flow.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
Experience as a Dental Assistant
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with dentrix ascend software is an advantage.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
Experience with medical imaging and maintaining medical records is beneficial.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
