OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Maintain infection control protocols by following proper aseptic techniques and ensuring the cleanliness of the treatment area.
Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatments in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking dental impressions, radiographs (X-rays), and applying fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal dental health.
Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle administrative tasks using Dentrix software.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the practice.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical imaging is advantageous.
Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Knowledge of prosthodontics procedures will be beneficial for this role.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing medical records effectively.
