Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and preventative treatments, including scaling and polishing..
Assess and record patients' oral health, medical histories, BP and concerns.
Take digital X-rays.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventative care.
Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease and provide supportive treatment options.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment following infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment.
Collaborate with dentists and the rest of the dental team to ensure optimal patient care thru individualized patient care plans.
Review and maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including medical history and periodontal treatment plans.
Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Qualifications:
Valid Dental Hygienist license in NJ. NJ Anesthesia permit.
Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting oral health education.
Experience with Dentrix is preferred.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
