Registered Dental Hygienist - MILL PLAIN DENTAL CENTER - Vancouver, WA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient education and care.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Collaborate with dentists and other dental staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental assisting practices is a plus.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is beneficial for working with younger patients.
Understanding of infection control procedures and compliance with HIPAA regulations is essential.
Experience with medical imaging technology will be advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
