Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and be proficient in assisting dentists during various treatments. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, as we cater to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and maintaining accurate documentation in Dentrix or similar systems.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Handle sterilization of instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable environment during their visits.
Assist with endodontic procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is essential.
Familiarity with medical imaging and record management systems, particularly Dentrix, is highly desirable.
Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting.
Certification in dental radiography is preferred but can be obtained upon hiring.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 â 35 per week
