Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for various dental procedures.
Take and develop X-rays while ensuring proper handling of radiographic equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Monitor vital signs and assist in managing patient anxiety during visits.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
Support both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in dental assisting or completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
Knowledge of dental systems, anatomy, and common procedures in general and pediatric dentistry.
Proficiency in performing X-rays and understanding infection control measures.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining clinical documentation.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in dental care.
