Part-time Dental Hygienist - Comprehensive Mobile Care - San Luis Obispo, CA

Job Description:
The Dental Hygienist performs professional dental care the field of dental hygiene including all related clinical procedures. This is a part-time position starting at 3 days/week (24-28 hours/week) with opportunity to increase over time.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares treatment materials/trays according to the needs of individual participants.- Screens and evaluates patients regarding cavity detection, periodontal pathology and medical history.- Performs exposing, processing and mounting of radiographs.- Administers local anesthetics and gross debridement in treatment of acute periodontal conditions.- Performs supra and sub gingival scaling and curettage, root planning and oral prophylaxis.- Administers topical fluorides.- Provides instruction for proper home care prevention techniques for oral hygiene including proper tooth brushing, flossing and nutrition.- Documents procedures performed.- Assists in the training of dental assistants.- Cleans treatment room(s) after each participant visit by discarding all disposable items, gathering soiled instruments, and placing them in the sterilization area.- Checks treatment rooms for cleanliness and corrects as necessary.
Requirements:- Current state issued Dental Hygienist license- 1+ yr as Dental Hygienist- High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $50.00 - $63.00 per hour
