Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Owatonna, MN
Job SummaryA specialty endodontic office is seeking a licensed dental assistant to primarily work as a front desk receptionist, but also take CBCT scans for our patients after they are checked in. This is a unique opportunity to step away from full-time chair-side treatment to a focus on x-ray imaging acquisition and greeting our amazing patients.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations for dental services.
Process insurance benefits
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.
Assist with general dentistry tasks, including handling X-Ray and medical imaging procedures as needed.
Operate 3D scanners and support endodontics.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed within the office environment.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
Collaborate with dental assistants and other staff to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
Requirements
LDA degree
Proficiency in using X-Ray equipment, medical imaging tools, and 3D scanners is advantageous.
Understanding of endodontics and dental assisting principles.
A knowledge of dental insurance and determining benefits
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding patient care.
Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly disposition are essential for this role.
