MK Periodontics is a small business in Nutley, NJ. Our goal is to find a hygienist to join our team on Fridays! We are a friendly, state of the art periodontal practice with a warm and compassionate atmosphere looking for a team player who is kind, energetic and supportive of our patient’s needs.The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong knowledge of dental hygiene and preventive care, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, including patient education, oral health assessments, and preventive treatments. Additionally, the Dental Hygienist will be expected to maintain accurate records of patient care and adhere to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities:

Provide dental hygiene services to patients, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Assess patient's oral health and provide preventive care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
Maintain patient records and charting.
Keep abreast of the latest technologies in dentistry.
Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping patients and cares about working within a team environment.

Dental Hygienist responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assessing patient's oral health and health conditions
Using dental instruments and equipment properly
Identifying and removing food, plaque and plaque inhibitors
Using dental chart skills to record treatments received and any other medical or health related information
Dental charting systems
Dental Hygiene curriculum
Training & development opportunities within the dental field
data entry and billing purposes

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Active NJ Dental Hygienist license required.
Previous experience in a dental office or similar setting preferred.
