Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice that is located in the Southwest suburbs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and effective communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including X-rays and various dental treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental receptionist duties as required.
Support the dental team in various specialties, including Endodontics, Prosthodontics, and Pediatrics.

ExperienceCandidates should possess at least 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant training in dental assisting programs. Familiarity with dental systems and procedures is essential. Knowledge of infection control practices, X-ray techniques, and patient management is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment will contribute to your success in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
