Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Record and maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using electronic systems.
Monitor and record vital signs as needed during patient visits.
Provide support with medical coding for insurance purposes when required.
Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and assisting with patient inquiries as a dental receptionist.
Uphold strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Engage in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices is beneficial.
Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
