Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Fairbanks, AK
Our busy family practice is looking for an energetic, reliable Dental Treatment Coordinator. Hours will be Mon-Thurs 8:00am-4:30pm.
Ideally the person in this role will use their knowledge of financial management, dental insurance, and understanding of various dental treatments to help patients understand the value of investing in their oral health.
Our ideal candidate should have at least 1 year experience in the dental field, be dedicated to providing excellent patient care, detail oriented and quick to learn, a team player, ability to multi-task, have a positive friendly attitude, working knowledge of Dentrix, have proficient computer and communication skills, and thrive in a high paced work environment.
Duties include but are not limited to answering and making phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying dental insurance, helping patients understand their dental benefits, collecting and posting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records.
This position also offers the possibility to cross-train by learning how to prepare patients for treatment, work in sterilization, and set up operatories.

Discuss payment arrangements with patients
Maintain accurate patient records
Skills
Proven experience as dental receptionist and/or dental assistant
Good phone and personal skills
Understanding of health and safety regulations
