Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and proficiency in using dental software systems.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Take dental X-rays as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information within the practice management system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with the dental receptionist for optimal patient flow.
Operate 3D scanning imaging
Support the team with administrative tasks as necessary.
Requirements
Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of infection control standards
Familiarity with Practice Works or similar dental software systems is a plus.
Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a related role.
Ability to take X-rays and knowledge of radiographic techniques.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
