Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene practices. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to promoting oral health and educating patients on effective dental care techniques. Laser Certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
Review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with dental regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with medical coding standards.
Implement four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental clinic operations.
Proficient in patient assessment and documentation review systems.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
