Dental Assistant - Wellrooted Dentistry - Providence, RI

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring the comfort of patients.
Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Take and record vital signs of patients- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental x-rays- Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records- Assist with medical documentation and coding- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Provide post-operative instructions to patients- Maintain inventory of dental supplies
Skills:- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing patient assessments- Knowledge of dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and record keeping- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, such as x-rays- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
