Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and patient management within a dental office environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols within the office.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling, record keeping, and treatment planning.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on new dental technologies and techniques to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures.
Knowledge of infection control standards and practices in a dental setting.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental office management systems is preferred.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
