OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as proficiency in various dental procedures and technologies. This position is part time, 2-4 days per week Monday-Thursday.
DutiesAs a Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
Preparing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment for use.
Taking medical histories and vital signs of patients to ensure their safety during treatments.
Performing medical documentation and maintaining accurate medical records for all patients.
Conducting medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis.
Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Supporting the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Engaging in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess:

Experience or training in prosthodontics and endodontics is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes is advantageous.
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including the use of dental tools and equipment.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of dental assisting.
