Dental Clinic Assistant - part time - Prince of Peace Lutheran Church - Burnsville, MN

Who We Are: Mission Outpost, located within Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, is a community outreach that provides food, clothing, dental services and other community resources to those in need. We are looking for a temporary part time Dental Clinic Assistant. This position will play a critical role in supporting the dental clinic with exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. This is a part time role working 20 hours a week for a 6 month contract with options to extend.
The Dental Assistant will support the Dental Clinic Manager, volunteers, and patients at the clinic. They will also perform clinical functions, assist with maintenance of the clinic; and provide support with outreach opportunities, and collaborations with different organizations in the community.
The clinic has a large reception area, 3 operatories with doors for privacy and a large sterilization area equipped with everything needed to provide dental treatment. We use Patterson’s Eaglesoft system (training provided). We provide a caring and nurturing environment where all involved can thrive. Occasionally this person will attend outreach events such as dental conferences and community affairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified and licensed in the state of MN as an LDA.
At least one year of experience in chair side dental assisting.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
· Experience in public health dental clinic
· Previous experience (work or volunteer) with the underserved population.
Salary: $27 per hour
