Duties

Assist with patient intake by gathering medical records and updating patient information.
Take and record vital signs as needed.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
Utilize dental technology such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes.
Support dentists during procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques.
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients.
Maintain accurate medical records using software systems like Dentrix or Epic.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments.
Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for young patients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting or a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
Ability to perform basic clinical tasks including taking vital signs, X-rays, and operating 3D scanners.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities are essential.
