Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services and helping create work flows and systems in the office that allow for a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
Take a dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive measures.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Assist in various dental procedures including crown and bridge, direct restorations, removable prosth, clear aligner therapy, and pediatric dentistry procedures.
Provide support in administrative tasks as required, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Organizing and ordering of supplies

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medical coding is advantageous.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred.
