Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Uvalde, TX

Position Summary:
Performs routine chair-side dental assisting duties and other related duties involved in providing oral health patient care in one of the Agencyâs primary health care clinics. Works under the direction of agencyâs dentist(s), registered dental hygienist(s) and the supervision of the Chief Dental Officer. The dental assistant will provide services directed toward the restoration of health and wellness, health promotion and disease prevention.
Requirements Required:
Certified by the State of Texas as a Registered Dental Assistant.
Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners for Registered Dental Assistants licensure and provider Basic Life Support as required by the American Heart Association.
Experience in the sterility of all reusable dental instruments, devices and equipment in accordance with Dental Department directive and protocol.
Experience in preparing the patient for treatment including the identification of the chief complaint, the taking and recording of vital signs, weight, temperature, blood pressure, glucose levels, etc., and ensures smooth patient flow throughout the center.
Knowledge of modern dental material, their storage, handling and applications.
Ability to work flexible hours or change schedule as necessary.
Qualifications Required:
Bilingual preferred.
Ability to problem-solve
Effectively and efficiently manages time, efforts, and workload.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
Effective organizational skills.
