Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
Utilize 3D scanning technology as needed for various dental procedures.
Record patient medical history and maintain accurate documentation using Dentrix software.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirming patient visits, and handling administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with prosthodontics is a plus, along with experience in assisting during various dental procedures.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.
