Hours :8:30am-5:30pm Monday- Thursday or Tuesday- Friday
Wage: Hourly $25.00 based on experience

REGULAR DUTIES:
Start of the Day Routine:
- Follow “Daily Clinical Opening Procedures” Checklist
- Participate in Morning Huddle
Patient Routine:
- Make sure operatory is set up for procedure before patient seating
- Make sure headrest and light handle covers are in place
- Greet and seat patient on time
- Update medical history
- Have mask, doctor loupes, gloves & instruments readily available for procedure
and doctor
- Write up Clinical Notes using appropriate template
- Complete patient records according to “Chart Prep Checklist”
Treatment Procedures:
- Assist doctor in four-handed dentistry
- Anticipate doctor’s needs
- Be proficient in expanded duties
- Keep work area orderly, neat & organized
- Be proficient with sequence of all dental procedures
- Be proficient in the use of various dental materials
- Be proficient in the use of the intraoral camera
Patient Management
- Provide patient education
- Provide patient instructions (ie. oral hygiene, post-op, whitening, SureSmile, etc.)
Lab Procedures:
- Make alginate impressions
- Pour up impressions
- Maintain lab cleanliness
- Maintain Lab Case Processing protocol
- Maintain Log of Lab Cases going out and coming in
Sterilization:
- Properly break down operatory (post op) following established OSHA guidelines
- Proper sterilization techniques (ie. wrap & tape instrument cassettes; oil, run &
bag handpieces; cold sterile non-autoclavable items, etc.)
- Run autoclave periodically throughout day
- Put away sterilized items and instruments
- Monitor Hazardous Waste Box and dispose of when full
Supplies:
- Know where supplies belong and where backup supplies are kept
- Restock supplies as needed
- Maintain stocking of Operatory tubs and drawers and keep orderly and neat
Radiology:
- Be proficient in taking of Bitewings, Periapicals & Full Mouth Series
- Be proficient in arranging digital radiography in proper order
- Be proficient in use of equipment
- Have understanding of radiology technique
Equipment Maintenance:
- Provide support to team member in charge of “Equipment Maintenance
Schedule” Checklist, which outlines Weekly, Biweekly and Monthly schedules of
equipment maintenance
Close of Day Routine:
- Follow “Daily Clinical Closing Procedures” Checklist
- Make sure Operatories are clean and free of clutter
- Make sure Lab is clean and free of clutter
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week

Experience:

Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

X-Ray Certification (Required)
