Dental Hygienist - Galesburg Family Dental - Montgomery, IL

Our office in Galesburg is currently looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to provide care to our patients on Monday, Thursday and there is additional time if the applicant wants more days! The hours are from 8 am to 5 pm. We are seeking an individual who is able to build long-term relationships with our patients, educate, as well as perform top quality care.
Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct screening and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Take Radiographs
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Valid licence to practice in Illinois. (Iowa license is a plus)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
