Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control protocols. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and other staff to deliver exceptional service to our patients, including children in pediatric dentistry.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging techniques.
Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing processes.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred; experience in pediatrics is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and infection control practices.
Proficiency in medical documentation and familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
