We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing high-quality oral healthcare services to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the dental office.
Responsibilities: -
Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take X-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Provide support to the front desk staff when needed
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of dental terminology
- Familiarity with medical coding
- Understanding of prosthodontics procedures
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Experience with managing medical records
- Strong anatomy knowledge
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques
