Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team on Mondays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental practice's daily operations. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, particularly in general and pediatric dentistry, as well as proficiency in aseptic techniques and familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding when necessary.
Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on general dentistry and pediatric dentistry being advantageous.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Experience in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical coding will be beneficial.
Proficiency in using dental software, particularly Eaglesoft, is highly desirable.
A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial for success in this role.
