Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive oral health education and preventive care.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment following aseptic techniques.
Document patient care accurately in electronic health records using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in general dentistry practices.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques and dental terminology.
Familiarity with medical imaging procedures is preferred.
Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software systems is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism and empathy towards patients.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and general dentistry practices is essential.
