Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, focusing on preventive measures and education. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and conducting oral cancer screenings.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments to protect teeth from decay.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental office systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
Experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
