Job OverviewTired of seeing 15 patients a day and running from chair to chair? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a general dental setting. This role requires a commitment to infection control, patient assessment, and the ability to work collaboratively with our dental team to ensure the highest standards of care.
Duties
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical records and documenting vital signs.
Expose radiographs when patient is due.
Conduct thorough cleanings and periodontal treatments using a piezo and hand scalers, while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment plans.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients.
Experience
2-3 years of hygiene experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of patient care principles, including infection control and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with children and their parents, ensuring a positive experience during visits.
A valid RDH license is required, along with any necessary certifications related to dental hygiene practice.
BLS certificate required.
