Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and conducting comprehensive patient assessments.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in accordance with office protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
Stay updated on dental systems and technologies to enhance patient care.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to perform vital signs assessments and understand their implications for patient care.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining medical records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
