In this part-time role, you will be responsible for various administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating insurance claims using Dentrix software. Strong front desk experience in a dental office, along with skills in insurance coding and dental assisting, will set you apart. Our office prides itself on maintaining a supportive atmosphere, where every team member contributes to creating a positive patient experience.
We prioritize the safety of our team and patients, providing comprehensive personal protective equipment such as disposable gowns, face shields, goggles, N95 masks, nitrile gloves, and regular masks.

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with patient inquiries regarding treatments, insurance, and office policies.
Handle billing and payment processing efficiently.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure effective communication regarding patient care.
Stay updated on infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling and record management.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and medical documentation practices is essential.
Knowledge of infection control procedures relevant to dental practices.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients of all ages.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Proficiency in using dental software systems; familiarity with Dentrix is an advantage.
