Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the front desk operations of our dental office, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in dental office software, and a strong understanding of health information management.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and confirm patient visits using dental office software such as Softdent.
Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage health information in compliance with privacy regulations.
Assist with billing inquiries and process payments as needed.
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the office.
Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies.
Provide support to patients regarding treatment plans and insurance options.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a dental office is preferred.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software (Softdent) is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and scheduling.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Knowledge of health information management practices is an advantage.
Familiarity with basic administrative duties and procedures.
