Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of pediatric dentistry practices. This role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a welcoming environment for young patients and their families.
Duties
Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Take X-rays and ensure proper imaging techniques are followed.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit.
Help manage the flow of patients in the clinic, ensuring timely appointments and minimal wait times.
Provide education to patients and their families on proper dental hygiene practices tailored for children.
Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient inquiries as needed.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Skills
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to assist effectively during procedures.
Experience with X-Ray technology and understanding of safety protocols related to imaging.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices, ensuring comfort for young patients during treatments.
Knowledge of systems such as Epic for managing medical records efficiently.
Strong organizational skills to keep track of patient files and clinic operations smoothly.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to any health concerns during appointments.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus, enhancing overall clinic efficiency.

Pay: $25.26 - $35.00 per hour
